Michael Krasny

Michael Krasny, PhD, is recently retired as Professor Emeritus of English at San Francisco State and served for nearly a quarter of a century as the host of Forum, on KQED public radio, where he was the recipient of many awards and interviewed most of the nation's leading writers, politicians and thinkers. He is the author of a number of books, including Off Mike, Spiritual Envy and Let There Be Laughter, as well as co-author of Sound Ideas.

Peter Coyote

PETER COYOTE has performed as an actor for some of the world’s most distinguished filmmakers, including Barry Levinson, Roman Polanski, Pedro Almodovar, Steven Spielberg, Martin Ritt, Steven Soderberg, Sidney Pollack and Jean Paul Rappeneau. Peter was the co-host of the Academy Award show with Billy Crystal in 2020. He is a double Emmy-Award winning narrator of over 160 documentary films, including Ken Burns acclaimed The Roosevelts, for which he received his second Emmy nomination in July 2015. Other Ken Burns documentary films include National Parks, Prohibition, The West, the Dust Bowl and Vietnam, The History of Country Music, Ben Franklin, Ernest Hemingway, The Holocaust and America. Peter has written five books including the international bestseller Sleeping Where I Fall, The Rainman’s Third Cure: An Irregular Education which reached second on the Marin County bestseller list. His third book, entitled The Lone Ranger and Tonto Meet the Buddha, outlines a long-standing series of classes he runs using acting, improvisation and masks to induce temporary ego-free states and is based on Peter’s work as a Zen Buddhist student of over 40 years. In 2011, he was ordained a priest, and in 2015 “transmitted” by his teacher and is now an independent Zen teacher with the authority to ordain priests himself. He is and has been engaged in political and social causes since his early teens and his primary concerns are the environment, voting rights and security of elections, and the threat of nuclear weapons and energy production.

The StriderFactor is a Forestville-based duo consisting of Jon Strider on keyboard, guitar, vocals, and Robin Factor, vocals & ukulele. Stylistically ranging from Americana original songs, classic covers, jazz standards, romantic ballads, and a touch of old school country, delivered with polished instrumentals and sweet harmony vocals.

Two parking lots available (390 Morris St & behind the Annex at 425 Morris St., and street parking. All parking is free for the evening. WE HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO CARPOOL!

  • Drinks (beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages) and snacks (chips, popcorn, candy, etc.) will be available for purchase inside the Main Hall

  • There is no dinner or hot food onsite ("VIP Experience" does include hors d'oeuvres at the Youth Annex)

  • No outside food or drink is allowed except for water bottles

  • There will be a spot available to refill your water bottle

  • This is a drug free zone/venue

  • All persons and items entering the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center are subject to search

  • Patrons with prohibited bags, cases, or other items will be asked to return the item to their vehicle

  • Items prohibited to enter Sebastopol Community Cultural include, but are not limited to: Firearms of any size or type, other weapons and knives of any size or type, pepper spray, mace, or other chemicals, animals other than Registered Service Dogs, alcohol, illegal substances, or drug paraphernalia, professional-grade audio, photo, or video recording equipment, cans, bottles, or outside food and beverages.

There are no refunds for this event, however if you cannot make it to the show you may transfer your ticket(s) to another person!

If given the option via your confirmation email, update the ticket information to reflect the new name(s). If not, simply forward the confirmation email to them and let them know the name the tickets are under.

Members of my ticket group are arriving separately, do we have to wait to enter together?
You do not need to wait! We’re able to check in each individual ticket within a ticket order. If you’re a group of 3 and your 3rd person is running late – no problem! Just make sure they have the QR code/know the name the tickets were bought under and we will check in the remainder of your group when they arrive.

I don’t have the QR code for my tickets, what do I do?
Don’t panic! We can look up your ticket order by the ticket purchaser’s name, email address, or the purchase confirmation number.

Do you have ADA seating for individuals with wheelchairs, walkers, etc.?
Yes! For seated events we have several locations marked for ADA seating. If all ADA spots are already occupied when you arrive, please see an usher or other member of staff to assist you.

I can’t make it to the show anymore, do you do refunds?
There are no refunds, however you may transfer your tickets to another individual by forwarding your QR code/confirmation email or letting them know whose name the ticket(s) are under.

NOTE: People often use social media (Facebook, Instagram, NextDoor, etc.) for ticket transfers. Please use caution and, whenever possible, only do ticket transfers with people you know and/or trust.
